Sclerotherapy - Spider veins treatment

Rockets venules or telangiectasias are small red or purple veins that can form anywhere on the leg from thigh to ankle. They are usually hereditary or hormonal in origin and are very common. Spider veins can be unsightly and cause discomfort, especially if broadcast. You can succeed by sclerotherapy, are usually from some form of compression, followed by treatment.

Sclerotherapy painful?

Most patients report little discomfort. It can be a bit 'moderate burning sensation immediately after the injection, but this disappears within a few seconds. Occasionally the legs for a day or two springs, but this is unusual.

How soon the veins disappear?

You can see up to four weeks for a change. Usually ships have injected more than once, on average, two to four times. The treatments are done at monthly intervals until the desired effect is achieved.

Usually about 70-80% of the injected vesselsand sometimes everything will go away sooner or later. The treatment is however not prevent new vessels before and some patients may require maintenance therapy from time to time.

How successful is the treatment?

The treatment is effective in about 95% of the population. However, about 5% of patients have little or no response.

There is an alternative to sclerotherapy?

Until recently, alternatives to sclerotherapy (laser treatment for example) were relativelyunreliable. However, we have acquired a new laser AURA, which is said to have shown much promise for the treatment of people with reduced response to injection therapy.
