Laser medicine to take off Facial Spider Veins

Unsightly small 'spider' veins remain under the exterior of the skin, following trauma and particularly in the case of face acne, following squeezing of spots. The small blood vessels become broken and then remain dormant and non functional i.e. Don't comprise any blood. A good medicine for this health is laser therapy.

Although laser eradication of small 'spidery' veins may not take off all veins in the skin, most patients are happy with the results. Following treatment, the unsightly purple veins are significantly reduced and the skin goes back to a more natural, clear state. It should be remembered, however, that laser therapy does not stop the symptoms of aging and that medicine does not stop the occurrence of new 'spidery' veins.

Spider Vein Treatment

The Treatment
The physician will start by, cleaning the skin surface, to take off oils and dirt. Next, brief intense, bursts of light from the laser will be employed to take off the superficial veins at nothing else but controlled levels of penetration. As the laser works, you may hear a popping noise, and smell smoke. The intense burst of light brings about a burning of the tissues and thus the smell of smoke, but this is normal. Then, the treated skin will be smothered with an antibiotic cream to stop any exterior infection. The whole of laser time varies from twelve minutes up to one hour, depending on the dimension of the skin area being treated. Mostly, more than one session may be needed to get the desired results. Laser medicine is commonly performed in a doctor's clinic, or in a hospital outpatient's clinic. You don't need to stay in the hospital, as it is not necessary. You may have a small burning, hot or stinging feeling as the laser penetrates your facial skin, but this is normal. Any, pain is very low and no local anaesthetic is required.

You may feel some small redness and inflammation of the treated skin, this should go within a few days or so. Mostly, the veins will turn a purple colour that look like a small bruise, and then gradually fades within 6-11 days. Sometimes ice packs are recommended to sell out the inflammation. Aloe vera herb gel is also generally used, to sell out the inflammation. Recovery times depend on the level of medicine and the patient's own level of healing. Some purple colouring may last for a few weeks, but this will gradually lighten to a pink tone, and a lighter, more natural colour. So laser therapy has been shown to be a very sufficient medicine for superficial facial spidery veins.
